2008-2009 season: Week Number 6 MatHawk of the Week
3-0 in the quad vs. Annandale. TC Willliams and South Lakes with 2 pins and a tech fall. At the Eastern States, Ray placed 3rd with a 5-1 record and he defeated the New York State AA champion twice during the tournament.
2008-2009 season: Week Number 4 MatHawk of the Week
4-1 at the Ironman Tournament in Oveida, Florida
Second Place in his weight class.
2008-2009 season: Week Number 2 MatHawk of the Week
5-0 at the Christiansburg Duals including a major decision victory over the returning W.V. runner up from Wheeling Park, West Virginia High School.

At 125 lbs Senior Captain Raymond Borja. His mother Wendy Borja is accompanying Raymond to the center of the mat. Ray’s father is currently deployed with the US Navy. Raymond is a 4 year letterman and is a 3x district champion, 2008 Northern Region champion, and placed 2nd in the state at 119 lbs last year. Currently Raymond is ranked 1st in the Northern Region and 2nd in the state at 125 lbs. Additionally, Raymond is an honor roll student and has received admission into the US Naval Academy. Ray aspires to be a SEAL team member upon graduation. Congratulations!
2006 Off-season: Competed with the Gunston Wrestling Club. Member for Virginia Freestyle/Greco National Wrestling Team. Virginia Cadet & Junior Freestyle/Greco State Champion. Attended J Robinson 28 day intensive camp.
2005-2006 Season: Competed at 103 lbs. Wrestled at W.T. Woodson High School. Liberty District Champion.
